PureH2O tap water purifiers

Why would I buy a water purifier from the PureH2O Co. when there are others on the market?

We’ve dedicated nearly 30 years to developing cost-efficient, safe, effective and environmentally sustainable water purifiers, making them the most technologically advanced systems in the world.

PureH2O tap water purifiers are water-efficient, contain recyclable components and save you money; their unique membrane lasts up to 10 times longer than those in other purification systems, saving you £1,000 on membrane replacement over a 10 year period.

This membrane is absolutely vital to water purity and it’s one of the key factors that ensures our water purifiers are superior to others on the market.

PureH2O is the safest and healthiest water to drink on the planet

Yes, absolutely! If you’ve heard rumours that pure water is unsafe to drink, please be reassured that those stories refer to ‘ultra pure water’ (UPW or ‘high-purity water’). This is a different kind of water which is only used in scientific settings.

Do I need to remineralise pure water?

No. We understand this is a common misconception, but your body simply cannot absorb minerals in water. However, your digestive system does absorb beneficial minerals from food, specifically plant food. If you’d like to learn more, please visit our blog post: minerals in food and water.

Should I alkalise my pure water?

We know that some people think alkalising their water is beneficial, but unfortunately, the idea that water should be alkalised is nothing other than a myth. Our bodies regulate their pH level extremely effectively through stomach acid and nothing you add to your water will change that – and it’s certainly not necessary. You can learn more on our blog post: Alkaline Water

Quatreau Boiling, Chilled and Sparkling Taps

Does the Boiling tap option dispense water at 100 degrees?

For safety and the best flavour of tea and coffee, the Boiling option on Quatreau Touch and Quatreau SmartTap dispenses at 98 degrees centigrade. 100 degrees would not be desirable.

Can the temperature of the hand-Hot water on my Quatreau Touch be adjusted?

Yes. Our engineer can adjust this to your preference during installation.

PureH2O tap water softeners and conditioners

Can I drink softened water; can I give it to my pets?

Drinking softened water is unlikely to cause any adverse effects, but UK regulations call for homes to have a mains tap water supply for drinking (of course, drinking tap water has its own drawbacks, which is why many people like to have a water purifier).

You can safely brush your teeth with soft water.

Please don’t give softened water to your pets. They can drink either regular tap water, or pure water from any of our water purifiers.

Should I change the amount of laundry detergent and fabric conditioner I use in my washing machine if I have a water softener?

Yes, you can reduce these by 50% (no matter what the product labels say). You’ll notice that you don’t need to use as much soap, shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo, either!

Do I still add salt to my dishwasher if I have a water softener?

No, you don’t need to add any salt to your dishwasher.

Should I still add rinse aid to my dishwasher if I have softened water?

Yes, you should continue to use rinse aid as normal. This is because rinse aid helps dry water from your dishes. Your dishes, especially glassware, will come out looking better because all hard water deposits have been removed by your water softener.
